Managing Notifications in Chrome and Microsoft Edge

Getting annoyed with popups in your browser? Either clicked by mistake, or enabled through malware/spyware?

To turn off notifications in Google Chrome, Simply open a new tab, paste chrome://settings/content/notifications into the address bar.

At the bottom of the page we can see the list of sites that we’ve allowed and disallowed from sending notifications.

Using the three dots at the right hand side we can remove sites that have been added in error, We also have an Add button for adding additional sites in.

To turn off notifications in Edge we can goto edge://settings/content/notifications and within here we can remove sites that have previously been allowed. We can also control whether sites can silently add themselves
